| Subaru Legacy Review from the xcvii90I wanted to find a mid-sized vehicle that could haul 4 adults comfortably, got reasonably good fuel economy, had 4wd for trips to snow country, had a manual transmission, and could handle the twisty mountain roads in the Santa Cruz mountains of California. The Subaru Legacy wagon was the obvious choice. When traveling to the Sierras in a snowstorm, the Legacy is allowed to pass without chains.
